Tonight your poetry hit me so hard,
Enormous falling comets lighting up the stars,
A dome of a galaxy so thickly lit with lust,
Some gummy bear fallacy hit me oh so hard,
My brain neurons firing a million times brighter than the stars,
Stop for a moment and feel the stillness of it all…
Until the vending machine across from you begins to say it all.
Consumerism and greediness imploding our existence,
Some colored paper manmade madness controlling our forgiveness.
Forgive me now for I have sinned since I no longer see the scene,
The actor has left the stage and now there’s no one left to play,
The role of the fool traveling far away,
Only to discover the gold was in his heart the whole way.
